Washington Trip - The Last Post

Here are just a few more pictures from our trip...
My brother Ryan and the girls.

Lexi going for a ride on Ryan's ATV.
When Ryan drove by himself he drove on two wheels.
And Lexi asked me,"Why is uncle Ryan so crazy?"

I didn't read my girls bedtime stories at night.
They just wanted Grandma and Grandpa to read to them.

I took Lexi to see Beauty and The Beast The Broadway Musical.
We both loved it!

We went with our friends the Greenwoods.
Madi and Lexi had so much fun being princesses together.

David has been one of mine and Sean's best friends since high school.
It was really good to hang out with him and his adorable wife Chelsi again.

Since Sean's parents live 10 miles from mine we were able to visit them too!
They had a good time with their Nana and Papi.

My favorite thing we did at my in-laws' house was have a birthday cake.
Papi decided that he wanted chocolate cake.
So Lexi helped Nana make one.
Then Papi decided that we should put candles on it and sing Happy Birthday to him.
Lexi didn't like that idea, so we sang Happy Birthday to everyone.

And there you have it!

Washington Trip - Playing in the Snow

Our last day in Washington it snowed like crazy.
And I had no idea that it was even going to snow!
Lexi was EXTREMELY excited.

This was the view from my parents driveway.

Avery was hilarious in the snow.
She's so short and the snow was kind of deep for her.
She struggled walking through it but didn't want any help as she waddled along.

Lexi just wanted to eat the snow.

We decided to let the girls go sledding.
At first they loved it.

Then they fell off the sled a few times and hated it.
I can't blame them.
They landed face first into the snow and had no gloves.
Plus they hit a tree.
I maybe a horrible mom because while they were sledding I stood back and filmed it.

The girls made their first snowman with Grandma.

Then they had a snowball fight with grandpa.
And then they were frozen so it was time to come in.

I was glad that they got to experience the snow.
And now I'm glad that we're back in New Mexico away from the snow!

Washington Trip - Visiting Selah

While in Washington, we drove over the mountains to Selah.
It was so good to see my extended family again.
The girls loved my grandpa's house.
There was so much for them to do outside...

My grandpa made this little swing.

The girls LOVED the horses, especially Avery.
I should have put a picture of her with the horses on here.

Here's Lexi riding a little horse on a stick that my grandpa made.

Lexi ADORED my cousin Katie.
She became Katie's little shadow.

Avery quickly attached to my cousin Macie.
In fact when it was time for Macie to go home Avery bawled.
She wouldn't let go of Macie and didn't want anything to do with me!

Here's Lexi with my cousin Emma.
They are 9 months apart and will be in the same grade.

And the girls with their great grandpa Calvin.

It was so good to see some of my cousins again!

And here is our attempt at a group picture.
I still didn't end up getting everyone in the picture.

It was such a fun little trip.
It reminded me again how much I love my family!

Washington Trip - Flower World

The girls loved walking to Flower World several times during our trip.

The girls loved the animal section.
You are able to walk inside a cage with peacocks, ducks, bunnies and a few other small animals.

And then the girls loved the goats.

Of course we had to buy some flowers to plant (another thing on Lexi's to-do list).

Washington Trip - The Temple

We went to visit the Seattle Temple while we were in Washington.
Lexi wanted to go see where Sean and I got married.
It was a lovely February day in Seattle.

Lexi got to stop and smell the flowers and even got to see a bride.

Quickly though it started to rain.
So Lexi borrowed an umbrella.

Lexi loved the temple.

Washington Trip - Ferry Boat and Beach Pictures

Lexi made a to-do list for our trip.
Going on a boat and to the beach were at the top of the list.

The girls loved the ferry even though it was freezing out on the deck.

The wind was so strong.
Avery had to brace herself to keep from falling over.

The beach wasn't exactly what Lexi had in mind.
I think she was expect more of a Florida beach in the summer.

They had a great time and got to build a sand castle.
Even if they didn't get to wear their swimsuits and use a beach umbrella.
